Welcome to TechAid Connect. By accessing this platform, you agree to a professional code of conduct and our standard operational framework. If you are acting on behalf of a nonprofit, you warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. User Roles & Obligations
2.1. Technical Volunteers
- Professional Integrity: Deliver best-effort technical results in alignment with project scopes.
- Confidentiality: Protect sensitive nonprofit data accessed during the project lifecycle.
- Commitment: Provide clear notice if a project cannot be completed within the agreed timeline.
2.2. Nonprofit Organizations
- Transparency: Provide accurate data and clear technical requirements.
- Recognition: Acknowledge volunteer contributions and provide feedback for profile badges.
- Support: Provide the necessary access and documentation for volunteer success.
3. Intellectual Property (IP)
Unless otherwise agreed upon in a specific project's scope, the ownership of custom code developed on the platform is as follows:
- Open Source: We highly encourage the use of Open Source licenses (MIT, Apache) for all charitable projects.
- Nonprofit Ownership: Any assets, logos, and mission-specific data provided by the NPO remain theirs.
4. Prohibited Conduct
To maintain platform high standards, the following is strictly prohibited:
- Usage of automated scripts to scrape project or user data.
- Unauthorized access to administrative documentation or APIs.
- Misrepresentation of technical skills or nonprofit status.
5. Liability & Governing Law
TechAid Connect provides a bridging service "as is." We are not liable for specific technical outcomes or data breaches on third-party systems. These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria.
6. Termination
Accounts may be terminated for "Inactivity" or "Policy Violations." We reserve the right to prune junk data to maintain platform performance.
